Driving manoeuvres

You are stopped on a steep uphill road in Apeldoorn with the handbrake on. A car is right behind you. You want to pull away. What do you do?

You only watch for rolling back; if the engine stalls, you just restart
You work mainly with the handbrake; throttle and clutch take care of themselves
You release the handbrake only once throttle and clutch hold the car

Explanation

False — you rely mainly on one control. Pulling away on a hill needs well-coordinated use of the handbrake, the throttle and the clutch pedal; none of the three is secondary (Book p.158).
