Load and trailer

About Which licence for which trailer: B, B+code 96, BE: which statement is WRONG?

A plain B already suffices for a trailer up to 750 kg, or for a heavier trailer with a combination up to 3,500 kg.
You must always look at BOTH masses.
A plain B may tow a trailer above 750 kg as long as the combination of car and trailer stays up to 3,500 kg.
As soon as the combination is heavier than 3,500 kg, a BE licence is mandatory.

Explanation

trap: skipped middle step. Book p.233 - between 3,500 and 4,250 kg combination a B with code 96 suffices (or BE by choice). BE only becomes mandatory above 4,250 kg
