Sign C22b: End of environmental zone
Legal meaning
End of low-emission zone.
Shape and colour
Round grey sign with a black diagonal bar: end of the zone.
Where the sign stands
At the start of the closed section, directly after the junction (about 3 m), on the right and for C1/C2 often repeated on the left.
What the exam asks about this sign
The question is what applies after this sign: the restriction of the low-emission zone lapses and every vehicle may drive again. Trap: candidates think a zone sign must be repeated at every following junction; a zone covers the whole area up to the end sign without repetition.
