Sign C7: Closed to trucks (lorries)
Legal meaning
Closed to lorries.
Shape and colour
Round white sign with a red rim and a black lorry: closed to lorries (above 3500 kg).
Where the sign stands
At the start of the closed stretch, right after the junction, on the right; often with a plate exempting local traffic.
What the exam asks about this sign
The exam asks what a lorry is: a motor vehicle for carrying goods with a permitted maximum mass above 3500 kg. A 3000 kg van may therefore enter, a 7500 kg lorry may not. Trap: a car with a heavy trailer is not a lorry and may drive on.
