Sign L3: Bus and/or tram stop
Legal meaning
Bus stop / tram stop.
Shape and colour
Blue rectangular sign with a white bus or tram: bus or tram stop; no stopping or parking within 12 m.
Where the sign stands
At the stop itself, on the stop post; the block marking (or 12 m) defines where stopping is forbidden.
What the exam asks about this sign
The exam asks what you may do at a stop: not stop or park within 12 m of the sign (except to let passengers in or out), and at a tram stop without a refuge you wait behind the tram until the passengers have alighted. Trap: candidates pick 'overtaking the stationary bus is always forbidden' — it is allowed, carefully, when the road is clear.
